NBC4 Hosts Own 2012 Olympics

Every once in a while, you've just got to have some fun.

And that's what we did at News4 on Friday afternoon, as we held our very own faux-Olympics outside our station in northwest Washington.

Tricycle races? Check.

Water balloons? Check.

Headbands and t-shirts that matched the colors of the NBC peacock? Definitely a check.

A good time was had by all -- especially by those on the gold medal-winning Red Team, which included the likes of News4's Barbara Harrison and Tisha Thompson and NBC News' Domenico Montanaro.

Thanks to everyone who participated, and a special thanks to General Manager Jackie Bradford for the opportunity to allow us to get the competitive spirit going outdoors instead of in the newsroom!
