Man Blames Indecent Exposure on Online Intro Gone Awry

A man charged with indecent exposure in Manassas, Va., told police his nakedness was a result of a robbery during a rendezvous with a man he met online.

Police received a report of a naked man in the Station Crossing Way area at about 6:40 a.m. Sunday, according to Manassas City police. Officers used pepper spray on the suspect when he struggled with them as they tried to arrest him.

The suspect, of Front Royal, told police he’d gone to Manassas to meet in person a man he’d met online. During that meeting, the suspect’s clothing, money and car were stolen, police said. The car was a 1994 Honda Accord station wagon.

The investigation is ongoing.

The suspect was charged with indecent exposure and resisting arrest. He’s scheduled to appear in court Sept. 13.
