With the 47th pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Washington Redskins selected outside linebacker Trent Murphy from Stanford.
The 6'5", 250-pounder finished his final season with 14 sacks for the Cardinal. He is considered an average to above-average pass rusher.
Washington traded their original second-round pick (No. 34) to the Dallas Cowboys for the 47th pick and the 78th pick.
