Wizards Fan Breaks Up With Team, Burns Memories

As you awaken from your tryptophan-induced comas, the Washington Wizards are still winless. After losing a heartbreaker in a 101-100 overtime loss to the Atlanta Hawks Wednesday, the Wizards lost yet again in agonizing fashion, falling to the Charlotte Bobcats 108-106 in double overtime Saturday, leaving them 0-11 entering Monday's game against the San Antonio Spurs.

Apparently, those two losses were enough for long-time fan Adam Gerloff, who created this touching, yet slightly disturbing video and sent it to Truth About It this weekend:

The video shows Gerloff packing up his priceless memories of the Bullets/Wizards and ultimately placing the box on top of a burning barbeque as maudlin music tugs on your heartstrings in the background.

"Why do you cry?" I assume Gerloff's daughter asks (his Twitter account says that he is a father of two).

"He's...from the D.C. Metro Area," her mother replies. "He will not cry, so I cry for him."

The video then shifts to Gerloff taking a soul-searching walk, where he happens upon the Barclays Center, home of the Brooklyn Nets. Finally, everything seems alright. That is, until he discovers that Andray Blatche is on the Nets. Fin.

Remember the scene at the end of "The Wrestler" when Randy "The Ram" jumps from the top rope right before the movie cuts to black? The end of this video reminds me of that. Will Gerloff root for the Nets? Will Blatche make the free throw? Will the Wizards ever win a freakin' game? So many questions.
