Adam LaRoche Re-Signs With Nationals

Washington Nationals first baseman Adam LaRoche has signed a two-year extension with a mutual option for the 2015 season. The contract is reportedly worth $24 million

LaRoche played in 154 games for the Nats last season, hitting .271 with 33 home runs -- a career-high -- and 100 RBIs, tied for a career-high. He also won his first Gold Glove.

With LaRoche locked up, it might spell the end of Michael Morse's tenure in Washington.

"Hey everyone, going silent for a while," Morse tweeted.

"Take On Me" may have taken on new meaning.
