Prepare for More Redskins Programming on NBC

WRC-TV expands partnership with Redskins

WRC-TV, NBC's D.C. affiliate, is expanding its partnership with the Washington Redskins, once again becoming the official station for preseason games.

Though the schedule has not been released, expect most preseason games to be broadcast on NBC4 the next three years.

The Jim Zorn Show and Redskins Game Plan will continue, but several other team-related shows are planned.

NBC4 AND THE WASHINGTON REDSKINS EXPAND PARTNERSHIP

WASHINGTON -- NBC4 and the Washington Redskins are proud to announce an expanded television partnership.

The three-year deal names NBC4 as The Official Broadcast Station of The Washington Redskins and provides a full lineup of television programming, including pre-season games, weekly pre- and post-game shows, and other expanded opportunities. Highlights of the deal include:

  • Three preseason Redskins games
  • Redskins Late Night, airing early Sunday morning at 1:30 a.m. following Saturday Night Live (now beginning during the preseason and continuing through the regular football season)
  • The Jim Zorn Show, featuring the team’s Head Coach and airing Saturday at 7:30pm (now beginning during the preseason and continuing through the regular football season)
  • Redskins Game Plan, airing Sundays at 11:30am (now beginning during the preseason and continuing through the regular football season)
  • NBC4 will continue to air a weekly Redskins show on Saturday at 7:00 p.m., continuing a strong tradition of Saturday evening Redskins programming
  • A new one-hour show, airing on Saturday mornings, both during the preseason and during the regular season
  • A partnership with the NBC4 Health & Fitness Expo, which will include the Redskins’ presence at the 17th annual Expo, thirty-minute specials, and additional health-related programming
