Potential Nationals Playoff Tickets on Sale Friday

The Washington Nationals are putting tickets for potential wild card and National League division series games on sale Friday.

A maximum of four tickets per game may be purchased by members of the general public on a first come, first served basis beginning at 10 a.m. Friday at nationals.com/postseason or by calling 888-632-NATS (6287).

The team, which has the best record in the major leagues also announced Tuesday, it would sell some standing-room only tickets the day of each postseason game.

The Nationals have not made the playoffs since they began play in Washington in 2005, after moving from Montreal. A Washington baseball team has not made the playoffs since the Washington Senators reached the World Series against the New York Giants in 1933, which the Giants won in five games.

They entered Tuesday with a magic number of three for clinching at least a wild-card berth and 11 for wrapping up the NL East division title.
