Phillie Phanatic's ATV Breaks Down, Jayson Werth Blamed

The Nationals lost to the Phillies Monday in gut-wrenching, walk-off fashion in a 5-4 defeat that dropped them back under .500.

We're just going to skip all that and get to the part where the Phillie Phanatic's ATV broke down on the field.

As the Phanatic attempted to start his vehicle, Jayson Werth wandered over to the scene to check things out. As you can see, the large furry green thing points an accusatory finger at the former Phillie, who does have a prior history of hijinks involving the Phanatic, having stolen the keys to his ride last year.

"I'm not saying that one of our guys might have done something to the Phanatic's mobile," MASN announcer Bob Carpenter began, "but he cannot get it off the field."

It took five men to lift the ATV -- which weighs around 400 pounds -- off the field, all while Werth looked on from the dugout with a subtle smirk on his face.
