Obama, Biden To Attend Army-Navy Game

When Army and Navy play for the 112th time in history this Saturday at FedEx Field, there will be plenty of VIPs in the stands to watch.

Add the president and vice president to that list.

The White House announced Thursday that President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and his wife, Jill, will watch the game from the stands. More details about their trip to FedEx will be released soon.

Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m, but parking lots open at 8:30 a.m. and gates open at 9:30 a.m.

Why so early? Besides the probable security pat-downs associated with any sporting event the president attends, there are also plenty of pre-game festivities.

The "March On" of cadets from both schools starts approximately three hours before kickoff. Army is scheduled to march at 11:24 a.m. and Navy is scheduled to march at 12:04 p.m.

The annual duel between the two service academies won't be at FedEx again for a long time. The game will be held at Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field in 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2017. The teams will play at Baltimore's M&T Bank Stadium in 2014 and 2016.
