With no end to the fourth work stoppage in 20 years apparently in sight, the NHL has cancelled its first set of games, wiping out all preseason games through September 30.
The Washington Capitals will lose three preseason games: September 25 vs. Boston, September 26 vs. Columbus (the Baltimore Hockey Classic) and September 30 at Detroit.
Per the Capitals' and Ticketmaster’s refund policy, customers who purchased single-game tickets to events that are canceled will receive a full refund, according to a statement released by the team.
