How to watch the 2023 NBA Draft originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington
The 2023 NBA Draft is rapidly approaching! The Detroit Pistons own the best odds at the No. 1 overall pick, hoping to add the French phenomenon in Victor Wembanyama. After him, there's Scoot Henderson from the G League or the dynamic wing Brandon Miller out of Alabama. Could both the Thompson brothers "splash" their way into the top-5? After just one year at Kansas, perhaps Gradey Dick could find his way into the top 10 after his impressive play in the NCAA tournament. Which teams could trade up to make a move that could change their franchise's future?
Free agency doesn't begin until Thursday, July 6, requiring teams to make their draft selections before signing any new players. For lottery teams, that means an early pick can set the tone for their entire offseason, looking to build around that one player. For playoff contenders, a late-round steal could be the difference maker the following season that propels them into the NBA Finals.

Who will go No. 1 overall in the 2023 NBA Draft?
Following the Draft Lottery, the San Antonio Spurs own the rights to the No. 1 overall pick. With the Spurs history of drafting dominant big men with the No. 1 overall pick (David Robinson, 1987 & Tim Duncan, 1997) it makes all too much sense they will go ahead and select Victor Wembanyama.
