The Washington Football Team, along with the Las Vegas Raiders, were the two teams that first announced that all home games for the 2020 season would be held without fans due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

However, when Washington does next take the field at home on Oct. 4 against the Baltimore Ravens, some of the seats will be filled – but not with actual people.

Washington announced on Thursday that the team is offering fans the opportunity to purchase cardboard cutouts of themselves to be put on display at FedExField.

The fan cutouts will be placed behind each end zone. Season ticket holders can buy cutouts for the entire season, while the rest of Washington's fans can purchase cutouts on a single-game basis. So far, fans can purchase cutouts for Washington's Week 4 game versus the Ravens and the team's Nov. 8 clash against the Giants.

By purchasing a cardboard cutout for Washington's Oct. 4 matchup, fans will be supporting the team's "Crucial Catch" campaign for Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. All proceeds will be sent to nonprofit organizations made to fight against cancer.

For the cutouts purchased for Washington's matchup against the Giants, all proceeds will go to USO of Metropolitan Washington-Baltimore as part of the team's "Salute to Service" campaign.
