Wale to Perform Live for Big E's Entrance Song at WrestleMania 37

Wale to perform live for Big E's entrance song at WrestleMania 37 originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington

Since December 2020, WWE wrestler Big E has entered into the ring with the song "Feel the Power" by rapper Wale. Since that time he's had some great success, becoming the Intercontinental champion.

So as Big E prepares to enter the ring once again during WrestleMania 37, that song will once again blast through the speakers. However, there is a special twist this time: Wale will be performing it live.

Bleacher Report shared on Thursday that the D.C.-based musician will be in Tampa, Florida for the event and give a live performance of the song as Big E comes out on stage.

"He's one of my favorite rappers there is, but also to have my friend and someone who's a huge wrestling fan, I was geeked just to be able to get him to perform," Big E said to Bleacher Report. "To have him perform for me at home—Tampa's my home—is incredible. I'm so stoked about it. We've been trying to get Wale for years. We tried to get him at a 'Mania a couple of years ago, but things didn't work out. I'm so excited about it and I know he is, too, because as a big fan, it's a dream come true."

Wale has deep ties to the D.C. sports scene given that he was born in the area. A huge supporter of numerous teams in Washington, his music has been largely influenced by players on his favorite squads as he'll find ways to mention them in his lyrics.

That includes a recent freestyle that paid homage to Washington's newest star in Chase Young.

"Lions, Bengals, and Bears, none of my guys scared / Chase rumbling, anyone of them guys there," Wale rapped in the first verse of the song.
