Tom Wilson, Lars Eller Among Capitals to Play in Preseason Opener Vs. Bruins

Hockey is back! Well, preseason hockey, but still, the Washington Capitals will be hitting the ice Sunday against the Boston Bruins, and the team has released the names featuring in this exhibition game. 

The squad consists of young players, such as Connor McMichael, Martin Fehervary and Hendrix Lapierre, looking to make a good impression. Nonetheless, there are also veterans who will be using this time to get into game shape. 

Sunday's game against the Bruins will see veteran forwards Lars Eller, Garnet Hathaway and Tom Wilson in the lineup. Meanwhile, on defense, Dmitry Orlov, Michal Kempny and Justin Schultz lead the Caps blueline. 

Some notable players who aren't participating in the preseason game will be Alex Ovechkin, Evgeny Kuznetsov, and John Carlson. 

The game against the Bruins marks the first of six preseasons games before the regular-season opener against the New York Rangers on Oct. 13.
