These five highlights will remind you what Bryce Love could add to Washington's backfield

To the Bryce Love Backers, this is your moment.

The 2019 fourth-round pick passed his physical and will be a part of the competition at running back for the Washington Football Team, Ron Rivera told the media on Monday.

Love, the former Stanford star, never really came close to making an appearance as a rookie for the Burgundy and Gold, due to the torn ACL he suffered at college in December 2018 and a follow-up surgery he underwent last October.

Now, though, he's got a chance to start making a name for himself in the NFL. The regime that selected him is gone, but the current Rivera-led operation seems to fully believe in giving everyone an opportunity to show their talents, which Love has plenty of.

And just in case you need a reminder of that talent, here are five videos that best highlight it. In these first four, you'll notice that Love has a habit of putting a LOT of green space between he and his opponents in a very short amount of time:

In this fifth clip, meanwhile, Love demonstrates he's not solely a find-the-hole-and-say-goodbye-runner. He can also get some dirty yards when he's right, too:

The key, of course, will be if he's actually right. The fact that he passed his physical sure seems to indicate that he's on the right track, but for a player who relies so much on his burst and being able to break away, it could take him some time to regain the trust in his knee.

It's also necessary to point out that much of the footage from above comes from Love's outstanding 2017 campaign. In 2018, he was far less effective for the Cardinal, something his skeptics are quick to point out.

Regardless, those videos illustrate what Love's true ceiling is, and that's tantalizing to think of. If he can reach that ceiling, or even put himself just a few floors away from it, then Washington's going to be very pleased. The defenses they're slated to face, on the other hand, certainly won't be.
