Terry McLaurin Reached DK Metcalf-Like Speed on Chase-Down Tackle

Terry McLaurin reached DK Metcalf-like speed on chase-down tackle originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington

Terry McLaurin was burning during his memorable chase-down tackle of Jaylon Smith after Alex Smith threw what should have been a pick-six.

Just how fast was he moving? The Washington wide receiver got pretty close to DK Metcalf on the play.

During Metcalf's now-legendary chase-down of Cardinals safety Budda Baker, the second-year wideout hit a max speed of 22.64 MPH. On McLaurin's chase-down, he hit a max of 20.99 MPH, per ESPN

There must be something about these second-year wide receivers that have elite speed and refuse to give up on a play.

Metcalf's chase-down proved to be a major difference in the Seahawks' game against the Cardinals, while McLaurin saving four points on an interception became a turning-point in a blowout win for Washington.
