SEE IT: Wizards' Deni Avdija Impersonated on Israel Version of SNL

SEE IT: Wizards' Deni Avdija impersonated on Israel version of SNL originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington

Wizards forward Deni Avdija is so famous back home in Israel that just weeks into his rookie year he is already the subject of a comedy sketch on the country's equivalent of 'Saturday Night Live.'

Avdija and his father, Zufer, were impersonated on the show 'Eretz Nehederet,' which is apparently very popular in Israel. Most of the video is in Hebrew, but you can see it here:

Whether you can understand the jokes or not (I can't), the actor obviously has the look down. He shares a resemblance and is wearing everything Avdija does on the court, down to the band on his left arm.

The impression caught the attention of Avdija himself, who posted a short clip to his Instagram stories:

According to some Israeli Wizards fans on Twitter, the main punchline was about how Avdija's father groomed him to be a professional basketball player from a very young age. There are also some lines about how Avdija doesn't get the ball enough, both from his own teammates and his opponents, like LeBron James.

Avdija was the highest NBA draft pick ever from the country of Israel in November when the Wizards selected him ninth overall. He is already a sensation over there and this is just the latest example.
