Report: Ravens not expected to play Mark Ingram or J.K. Dobbins originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington
Despite being eligible to play, the Ravens likely won’t have running backs Mark Ingram or J.K. Dobbins for their Wednesday afternoon matchup against the Steelers according to a report from Michele Tafoya.
With the Ravens-Steelers matchup postponed a third time to Wednesday afternoon, the Ravens were suddenly able to activate both Ingram and Dobbins off the Reserve/COVID-19 list. But without any practices or conditioning sessions since last Sunday’s game against the Titans, the Ravens are apparently opting to keep the two of them on the sidelines.
Instead, it will be the Gus Edwards show with Justice Hill thrust into a prominent backup role at running back. It’s possible the team could call up rookie Ty’Son Williams from the practice squad to give the team a third option absent fullback Pat Ricard.
Robert Griffin III is set to start at quarterback for the Ravens in his first start since Week 17 of last season, which was coincidentally against the Steelers. Just like last time, it appears he’ll be handing the ball off to Edwards more often than not.
