Report: Ravens Have More Positive COVID-19 Tests

Report: Ravens have more positive COVID-19 tests originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington

According to a report from The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec, the Ravens have reportedly learned of more positive COVID-19 tests just over 48 hours before the team is supposed to face the Steelers on Thanksgiving night.

The Ravens canceled their morning media availability and sent out a statement Tuesday about the status of the rest of the day.

“With the health and safety of players and staff remaining the highest priority, the Baltimore Ravens have determined that all further team activities will be conducted virtually today,” the statement read.

Monday, the team announced that running backs Mark Ingram and J.K. Dobbins had tested positive for COVID-19 and were placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list along with defensive tackle Brandon Williams, who was listed as a high-risk close contact.

It’s unclear at the moment who tested positive, but if there are more players added to the Reserve/COVID-19 list, that news should come out from the team around 4 p.m.

Depending on how many positive tests there are, and even if there is just one, Thursday’s game would assuredly be in some semblance of trouble. The Ravens play the Cowboys next Thursday night, so the options for moving the game back are not plentiful.

Facing the unbeaten Steelers, the Ravens undoubtedly didn't need the shadow of positive COVID-19 tests during this of all weeks.

The Ravens are set to travel to Pittsburgh on Wednesday, but now that, as well as everything else this week, feels up in the air.
