Report: NBA players have Dec. 1 deadline to opt out of season originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington
The NBA and National Basketball Players Association have agreed to a December 1 deadline date for players to opt out of the 2020-21 season, The Athletic's Sham Charania reported Saturday.
The option was adopted prior to the NBA restart last July for players concerned about participating in Orlando amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Nine players ended up exercising that right over the summer.
