Report: Hall of Famer Deion Sanders Leaves NFL Network

One of the biggest on-air personalities in football appears to be on the move.

According to the Sports Business Journal's John Ourand, Deion Sanders is leaving NFL Network. His contract is set to expire and he does not plan on renewing the deal.

The New York Post reported Sanders' decision to leave is centered around a contract dispute with the network. NFL Network reportedly asked Sanders to take a pay cut, and he refused.

Sanders, who had been at NFL Network since the end of his playing career, has a desire to go into coaching. In an interview earlier this year, Sanders claimed he'd be a head coach in college football by the 2021 season.

The Hall of Famer had recently been in headlines after making controversial statements about NFL players foregoing the 2020 season over concerns with the coronavirus pandemic. However, it is unclear whether those comments played any part in Sanders' departure from NFL Network.
