What seemed to be a done deal for former Baltimore Ravens safety Earl Thomas to sign with the Houston Texans has taken a sudden turn Tuesday after the veteran's workout was postponed due to COVID-19 concerns, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported.

Earl Thomas' agents said Texans' HC Bill O'Brien told them this morning that he was informed by the league that he had to cancel the workout for their client due to COVID-19 concerns.

John McClain, of the Houston Chronicle, is reporting that the Texans have abandoned plans to sign the 31-year-old veteran but "haven't closed the door on him if they have more injuries at safety."
