Joe Burrow's promising rookie season has reportedly come to an end.

The Bengals signal-caller suffered a torn ACL in his left knee during Cincinnati's Week 11 loss to Washington, according to multiple reports. There could also be initial damage, too, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Burrow was carted off in the third quarter on Sunday after a pair of Washington defenders collided with him on a pass attempt. Before the game ended, the quarterback took to Twitter to confirm his season was over.

"Thanks for all the love. Can’t get rid of me that easy. See ya next year," Burrow wrote.

Several Washington players, including his former Ohio State teammates Chase Young, Dwayne Haskins and Terry McLaurin, made their way over the cart to show their support for the QB.

Burrow was having his way with Washington's defense prior to his injury. The rookie had completed 22-of-34 passes for 203 yards and a touchdown in just over one half of work. But following his injury, Cincinnati was unable to muster anything on offense and Washington scored 13 unanswered points to cruise to a 20-9 win.
