Ravens WR Marquise Brown on Antonio Brown: ‘I feel like he would fit in this locker room'

Marquise "Hollywood" Brown is set to be the Ravens' No. 1 receiver once again in the upcoming season - and he's looking to make a big jump from his rookie season.

But he's not shy about advocating for another receiver to come in and likely be the team's top pass-catcher.

Brown, on a Zoom call with reporters Wednesday morning, said he'd be in favor of the Ravens bringing in his cousin and free-agent wide receiver Antonio Brown.

"AB, he's a guy that's going to bring the best out of you," Marquise Brown said. "I feel like he would fit in this locker room. He's a guy that's competitive and he's going to go out there and give 100 percent. Seeing stuff like that gonna make other guys want to do the same."

Antonio Brown played one game for the Patriots last season, before being released after he sent threatening text messages to a former trainer, Britney Taylor, who previously accused him of rape and sexual assault. Additionally, on June 12 of this year, Brown pleaded no contest to felony burglary of a vehicle, misdemeanor battery, and misdemeanor criminal mischief.

His talent on the field, though, is undeniable. He's a seven-time Pro Bowler and a four-time First-Team All-Pro and would instantly become the Ravens' best and most accomplished receiver.

As for the likelihood of that happening, however, remains to be seen.

Earlier in the offseason, general manager Eric DeCosta said he would keep all thoughts about Antonio Brown in-house.

As for the Ravens' second-year wide receiver, there's no doubt about what Antonio Brown would bring.

"I've been working out with AB since I've been in college, so I know what he about," Marquise Brown said. "He's a guy that's going to push you, he's a guy that takes care of his body. I learned a lot about him just about making sure everything is right, even when you're not injured, always work on yourself and always better yourself."
