Ravens long snapper Morgan Cox named first-team All-Pro; Tucker second-team originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington
Ravens long snapper Morgan Cox was the first ever long snapper to be named All-Pro by the Associated Press on Friday. This was the first season the AP has ever put long snappers on the All-Pro team.
Cox, 34, has been with the Ravens since the 2010 season and has missed just 11 games in his 11 year career. He missed one game this season, when he was on the team’s Reserve/COVID-19 list. Cox has been named to the Pro Bowl four times in his NFL career.
“Morgan has been great at it for a long time, it’s nice to see it recognized out there,” coach John Harbaugh said. “I’m very happy for him, congratulations to him and of course to his family. He’s well-deserving of it. It makes us all very proud of that.”
Kicker Justin Tucker was voted a second-team All-Pro. This year, Tucker is 26-of-29 on field goal attempts (with two misses coming from more than 50 yards out) and is 52-of-53 on field goal attempts. Dolphins kicker Jason Sanders was named a first-team All-Pro.
