President Trump derides ‘politically correct' name change for Redskins

Trump's latest comments come on a day when many national voices, both inside and outside of the sports world, have given their opinion about whether the Redskins should change their name.

D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser told reporters on Monday that she's pleased with the organization's choice to review its name. Former player Brian Mitchell, meanwhile, doesn't envision a switch impacting the city's bond with the franchise.

Not everyone believes Dan Snyder will ultimately move on from Redskins, though. FS1's Skip Bayless, for example, thinks the owner is just waiting for all of this attention to die down before making the choice to stand pat

Right now, however, there couldn't be more attention on the Burgundy and Gold. Trump's tweet is just the latest indication of that.
