The Baltimore Orioles and Miami Marlins game on Tuesday at Camden Yards may be delayed from its 7:35 p.m. start time as the league awaits final test results to clear the Marlins to play.
"The start of tonight's game between the host Baltimore Orioles and the Miami Marlins at Camden Yards may be delayed as we await the final test results clearing the Marlins to resume play," MLB said in a statement Tuesday afternoon. "MLB is in communication with both Clubs and expects resolution within the next several hours."
Reporters arrived at the stadium in the afternoon but weren't allowed to enter at first. They eventually entered, but reported that the tarp was still on the field. Orioles manager Brandon Hyde had his pregame media availability, which was scheduled for 4:10 p.m., delayed "until further notice."
Stuck outside Camden Yards with several other credentialed media because they aren't letting us in for reasons that have not been revealed. This baseball season just keeps getting stranger, and not in a good way.

The Marlins have played just three games this season, as their schedule was suspended after an outbreak of COVID-19 in the organization. Tuesday's game is set to be their first game since Sunday, July 26.

MLB expects a resolution in the next several hours, but it's unclear what that means for Tuesday's game.
The teams are expected to play a doubleheader on Wednesday and finish the series Thursday. All games are at Camden Yards.
