Mike Golic Jr.: Not surprised Washington has been a ‘dumpster fire of a team' after new allegations

For years, the Washington football team has been full of turmoil and several off-the-field issues.

Mike Golic Jr. says that after seeing the revealing report from the Washington Post, that it is no surprise that the team has been so bad for so long.

"When you've got a house that looks like the one that Washington's built here, where the foundation is this cracked broken mess of misogyny and racism well then all of a sudden how can you expect anything good or fruitful to grow from that," Golic said on Golic and Wingo Friday morning.

"And that's not to say... this problem, as we've heard from plenty of the women that work around this industry, is widespread enough to where I'm sure it exists in the organizations that we think are 'good' too, but when you lump all of the problems that are around the Washington football team together and then you add this to it as a part of it. There's no wonder why it's been such a dumpster fire of a team."

The report alleges that 15 female employees were sexually harassed by several former Washington football executives. With a culture that was not "damn good", the Washington Post's Liz Clarke also wants to point to it being a reason why there is such a lack of success on the field as well.

Since Dan Snyder bought the team in 1999, the Redskins have had only six winning seasons and five playoff appearances in 21 seasons.
