Maryland freshman wing Angel Reese is expected to miss approximately 12 weeks after fracturing her right foot in Thursday's game against Towson.

Reese, the No. 2 recruit in the country for the class of 2020, will have surgery this week.

The highest-ranked incoming freshman in Maryland history, Reese attended St. Frances Academy in Baltimore. She averaged 13.3 points on 58% shooting and 7.0 rebounds in four starts for the 3-1 Terps.

A 12-week timeline would put her return to the court near the end of the regular season in late February, just before Maryland gets set for the Big Ten Tournament.
