An already elite recruiting year for the University of Maryland Football program could get even better Friday.

After much anticipation, five-star linebacker Terrence Lewis is reportedly set to sign with one of his top two schools Friday, per Rivals Analyst, Chad Simmons. On Monday, the No. 1 ranked inside linebacker and No. 16 overall recruit in the nation revealed that those two schools were Maryland and Tennessee.

Terrence is doing everything he can to build up the suspense around his decision. He’ll wait to sign his national letter of intent after his Miami Central Rockets compete in the Florida Class 6A state championship. And even then, the 6-foot-1, 200 pound senior won’t announce his decision until January 2nd.

Though Terrence was pictured warming up with the logo of each school on his respective cleats, a solitary Maryland decal on his helmet, along with his recent decision to de-commit from the Vols, could mean a second steal for Mike Locksley’s 2021 recruiting class.

If Terrence signs with Maryland, he will become the fourth-highest recruit in program history.
