Marcus Smart, Celtics Go Off in Locker Room After Game 2 Loss to Heat

Report: Marcus Smart, Celtics go off in locker room originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington

The Boston Celtics had reason to be frustrated after losing Game 2 on Thursday night, which dropped them to 0-2 against the Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals. They were so upset, in fact, there was reportedly a very emotional scene after the game in the locker room.

Read this from Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe:

Washburn has more details here. Basically, it sounds like Smart was not happy with the performance of his team. The phrase "the team is imploding" certainly speaks to their desperation.

If you recall, this isn't the only time Smart has made news for his reaction to a loss. Back in January of 2017, after Boston lost to the Wizards in Washington, he punched a hole in the wall at Capital One Arena. That was after the famous funeral game where the Wizards arrived in all black.

The Celtics ended up getting the better of the Wizards that season, as they met in the second round of the playoffs and Boston prevailed in seven games. If they want to get the last laugh against the Heat, they have a lot of work to do.
