Mac McClung eligible to play at Texas Tech after Georgetown transfer originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington

Former Georgetown star Mac McMcClung will be eligible to play the 2020-21 season after the NCAA approved his one-time transfer waiver, he announced on Friday.

McClung announced his decision to transfer from Georgetown to Texas Tech for the 2020-2021 season in late May. Initially, the NCAA tabled the proposal for a one-time transfer waiver. 

"Wreck em!!!" McClung wrote on Twitter on Friday.

Tech head coach Chris Beard quoted McClung's tweet with the caption "Guns Up. #4to1." 

During his time at Georgetown, McClung led the team in scoring with 15.7 points per game. He also averaged 26.8 minutes in 21 games while shooting 39.4 percent from the field and 32.3 percent on three-pointers while grabbing 3.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists.
