Kyle Allen Leaves Washington Football Game After Awful-Looking Leg Injury

Allen leaves game vs. Giants after suffering awful-looking leg injury originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington

Kyle Allen's game against the Giants, and very possibly the rest of his season, is done after the quarterback suffered a really awful-looking injury in the first quarter of the Week 9 matchup.

In trying to avoid a blitzing Jabrill Peppers during one of Washington's early possessions on Sunday, Allen went to roll out to the right, but as Peppers was tripped up by a cut block, his leg came around and hit Allen's left calf/ankle hard.

Immediately after the collision, one of the officials motioned over to the Washington sideline that Allen needed attention. He was eventually carted off.

Alex Smith took over for Allen, and no one needs a reminder on why that is significant.
