Juan Soto may be an MVP finalist and two-time Silver Slugger, but even the 23-year-old phenom becomes a fan when in the presence of Pedro Martínez.

Soto was one of many Dominican stars in attendance for Legends Day, a charity event held in the Dominican Republic that benefitted the David Ortiz Children's Fund. According to Z101 Digital’s Héctor Gómez, the event raised over $1.5 million for families of children unable to afford cardiac-related health care.

On Sunday, Soto donned a Martínez jersey and asked the three-time Cy Young winner to sign it.

Martínez, a noted admirer of Soto’s game, reportedly didn’t hold back when talking about the next contract he expects the Nationals outfielder to sign.

In addition to Soto, other MLB players in attendance included Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Nelson Cruz, Robinson Canó, José Ramírez and Dinelson Lamet.
