John Harbaugh on Dez Bryant: ‘I Enjoy Being Around Dez Every Single Day

John Harbaugh on Dez Bryant: ‘I enjoy being around Dez every single day originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington

Ravens wide receiver Dez Bryant hasn’t done a ton since he became a Raven earlier this year.

First, he was perhaps the most accomplished practice squad player in league history. Then, he was activated to the 53-man roster for games against the Colts and Titans. And finally, he was added to the 53-man roster full-time last weekend, as the team struggled with a COVID-19 outbreak across the organization.

Now, he’ll have one of the most unique moments of his career, when he’ll face his former team, the Cowboys, on Tuesday at M&T Bank Stadium.

“Dez has been great,” coach John Harbaugh said Thursday. “He works hard, great attitude. Real passionate guy for the game. Very determined guy. I enjoy being around Dez every single day. I promise you if you ask Dez, it’s not about Dez Bryant, per se. It’s not about any individual. It’s about the team, it’s about the Ravens playing our best football. He’s a part of that and that's how he looks at it.”

Bryant spent eight years of his career as a Cowboy where he made three Pro Bowls and one First-Team All-Pro team. After the 2017 season, he left Dallas but didn’t sign with a team until Nov. 2018, when he signed with New Orleans, only to tear his achilles two days later. He spent the rest of 2018 and then 2019 recovering from his injury.

Now, he’ll get a chance on the national stage to face his former team once again. And, for what it’s worth, Bryant hasn’t scored a touchdown as a Raven yet.
