IHOP Responds to Very Funny Morgan Moses Fans, Agrees to Create Morgan Moses Pancake

Morgan Moses Pancakes are actually happening at IHOP originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington

Thanks in large part to an ongoing campaign on Instagram and an online petition by fans of Washington Football Team tackle Morgan Moses, football fans (and non-football fans) in the DMV will be able to eat Morgan Moses pancakes at IHOP this week.

The pancakes chain was flooded with requests since September to name a pancake after Moses to honor the great blocks he'd been laying down. And now, it's all happening.

Morgan Moses Pancakes will be available at IHOP in the DMV and Richmond area for a single-day promotion on Tuesday, Jan. 5, a company spokesperson told NBC Sports Washington. The pancakes will be what the company says is Moses' personal order - signature buttermilk pancakes filled with blueberries, topped with blueberry compote and whipped topping.

Proceeds from the pancake sales will benefit Moses' foundation.

“Anytime I can give back to the youth of America while also enjoying my favorite double blueberry pancakes from IHOP is a great day," Moses said in a statement provided by the company. "Seeing my name on the menu on IHOP.com is definitely not something I ever thought would happen. I feel blessed to have the support of the best fans in the world; being able to shine a spotlight on the work we’re doing at the Morgan Moses Foundation to help students achieve academic success is the perfect way to ring in the New Year.”

Brad Haley, the CMO of IHOP, cited Moses' passionate fans for starting the Moses pancake movement.

"This collaboration between IHOP and Morgan was an obvious fit – we both know how to pancake," he said in a statement provided by the company. "But it’s truly a testament to Morgan’s passionate fanbase who helped make this connection a reality. We’re thrilled to be able to offer this one-day-only exclusive menu item for the fans in Washington D.C, and to continue our longstanding history of putting a purpose behind our pancakes by supporting the phenomenal work of the Morgan Moses Foundation.”
