How to watch Wizards vs. Rockets originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington

The Washington Wizards are coming off an impressive win against the Dallas Mavericks, playing spoiler on Luka Doncic's 41-point night. Wizards Delon Wright sealed a 127-126 victory after stealing the ball from Doncic on the final play of the game.

Now Wes Unseld Jr.'s squad will look to make it four wins in a row against the Houston Rockets. Houston is the worst team in the NBA, recently putting an end to their 13-game losing streak.

The Wizards will look to contain Houston's leading scorer in Jalen green, as well as young up-and-coming rookie Jabari Smith Jr., who could be returning from a two game absence due to an ankle injury.

These are the kinds of games the Wizards need to win, and here's everything you need to know to watch.

WIZARDS vs. ROCKETS: WHAT TO WATCH

From NBC Sports Washington's Chase Hughes:

"So, in a way the onus is now on Avdija to capitalize. Trading a player like Hachimura whom the Wizards used the ninth overall pick on was not a decision they made lightly. Avdija has been given a major vote of confidence and a prime opportunity. He was solid in his first stab at it with 15 points, 10 rebounds and three steals. It will be interesting to see how he is used moving forward and how he performs in the new role..." Read more.

"For a player with as detailed an injury history as Kristaps Porzingis, the Wizards should be pleased overall with what they have gotten from him so far this season. He has played in 41 of their 46 games, roughly 89% of them, while somewhat amazingly averaging the exact same number of points (22.1), rebounds (8.8) and blocks (1.5) that he did for them last year following his acquisition at the trade deadline. It doesn't get more consistent than that..." Read more.

WIZARDS vs. ROCKETS PLAYERS TO WATCH

Jalen Green, G, Rockets: The Rockets took Green with the second overall pick in the 2021 draft. The teenager will be coming into the game against the Wizards, coming off a 42-point performance that helped put an end to the Rockets 13-game losing streak. With the Rockets clearly in a rebuild mode, the 20-year-old is one of the only players who can produce points for them on a nightly basis.

Bradley Beal, G, Wizards: Beal is still finding his groove, having played in just three games since returning from his hamstring injury. The Wizards star game has averaged 19 pts in the past three games and will have to continue to lead the way, alongside Kyle Kuzma. Beal leads the team in scoring averaging 22.5 ppg, despite having missed 21/47 games so far this season.
