MYSTICS vs. STORM WHAT TO WATCH

Washington's backs are against the wall, immediately facing dire circumstances if they want to extend this series. In Game 1, Mike Thibault and his coaching staff got exactly the production they wanted from the entire crew but it wasn't enough.

Delle Donne scored 26 points, the rest of the supporting cast saw Ariel Atkins reach 16 points, Cloud also had 16 and rookie Shakira Austin had 12. That's why the loss hurts even more for Washington because they had everything cooking to steal the crucial road victory. Can they put it all together for a second chance?

Seattle's Jewell Loyd got hot in the final quarter, scoring 12 of her 16 points to put the Storm on top late. Stewart was her MVP self with her double-double (23 points, 12 rebounds).

MYSTICS vs. STORM PLAYERS TO WATCH

Elena Delle Donne (26 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists in Game 1): Delle Donne took over the Mystics late in the second quarter and had Seattle head coach Noelle Quinn praying for some spiritual help. She scored 22 points in the final 22 minutes of game time, almost willing the team to victory.

Jewell Loyd (16 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists in Game 1): Seattle's second-leading scorer was kept in check for a majority of the series opener. There was no clear second option behind Stewart. That all changed with her personal 9-0 in the final frame. Washington cannot afford for her to go on a hot streak.
