Dwayne Haskins ‘looked Good' in His Return to the Practice Field Friday

Dwayne Haskins 'looked good' in return to practice field originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington

It's been an eventful two weeks for the Washington Football Team, but more specifically the team's 2019 first-rounder, Dwayne Haskins.

Haskins was benched in favor of Kyle Allen last week, and since then, he's missed a slew of practices due to a gastrointestinal issue. On Friday, Haskins made his way back to the practice field for the first time in at least five days, and for head coach Ron Rivera it was a pleasant sighting.

“He looked good. He went out and did the things that he’s supposed to," Rivera said. "A bunch of his teammates came up and dapped him up to let him know they’re glad to have him back."

"That’s what I was hoping for.”

While a return to practice marks some personal strides for Haskins and his battle with illness, Rivera didn't pencil him in for travel to New York on Sunday.

“We’ll see what happens and how he is tomorrow. Again, he’s got a little bit of an ailment. We’ll go from there,” Rivera said.

Washington (1-4) looks to stay relevant in the weak NFC East, as they take on the winless New York Giants (0-5) at 1 p.m.
