DeAngelo Hall excited to see Kendall Fuller back in the DMV

When Kendall Fuller entered the NFL in 2016, DeAngelo Hall was the veteran in the cornerback room. During the two seasons they spent together in Washington, the pair formed a close bond as Hall helped Fuller adjust to professional football.

After the 2017 season, Hall retired and Fuller was traded to the Kansas City Chiefs. Despite the new chapters in their lives, Hall and Fuller have continued to connect, and Hall was happy to see Fuller shine in Kansas City.

"I was so excited for him when he got the opportunity to go to Kansas City and play and be a star," Hall said on Redskins Inside Look.

Specifically, Hall couldn't help but feel proud when Fuller earned a Super Bowl ring in 2019. His performance -- which included an interception in Super Bowl LIV -- is something Hall always knew he was capable of.

Yet even though seeing Fuller, and another former Washington player in Bashaud Breeland, reach the pinnacle of success was great to Hall, there was one thing he was even happier to see: Fuller return to the DMV.

Following the 2019 season, Fuller signed a four-year deal with the Washington Football Team, meaning he gets a chance to once again return to the area he grew up.

"Now coming back home, a place I know he never wanted to leave, I'm just so happy for him," Hall said. I know the Redskins organization is going to get some great guys in that secondary."

"I'm happy to welcome Kendall back to the DMV."

Fuller feels the same, as he's excited to once again get the chance to play in Washington.

"Redskins Nation, I'm so thankful and so excited to be back, man. You guys show so much love, so supportive, so loyal. I can wait to meet the new coaching staff, get around the guys, start grinding and get back to work," Fuller said in a video. "I'm going to give you guys everything I have every single day."
