To nobody’s surprise, Cristiano Ronaldo finds little difficulty finding the back of the net. Arguably the greatest player on the planet along with Lionel Messi, Ronaldo thrived in his Euro 2020 debut with Portugal on Tuesday.
Ronaldo scored twice late in the second half for Portugal in their first game of the tournament vs. Hungary, and with his brace came a huge accolade: he is now the tournament’s all-time leading scorer.

Aside from being the Euro’s all-time top scorer, Ronaldo also holds the records for most appearances in the tournament (five) and most goals for Portugal in all competitions (106). Ronaldo’s 106 tallies for country trail only Iranian striker Ali Daei (109).
