Chiefs Coach Andy Reid Turns to Hockey Technology for His Face Shield

Andy Reid using de-fogging technology for his face shield originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington

Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid turned himself into a meme in Week 1, when the face shield he chose to wear on the sidelines fogged up.

And when I say fogged up, I mean that thing looked like a bathroom mirror right after you take a really hot shower.

If it's your first time seeing that, no, it's not photoshopped. It also will be the last time you see it happen too.

At least that's the goal.

Reid will again wear that face shield, but the team's equipment manager, Allen Wright, will be using a product that hockey players use to defog their masks, according to the coach.

The NHL-style defogging technology is probably a smart idea given the fact it's really hard to coach a team when you can't see the field, or the players, or anything that's even in front of your face.

This whole topic is just 2020 in a nutshell isn't it?
