Chase Young Weighs in on Jaguars Hiring His Former College Coach Urban Meyer

What Chase Young thinks about the Jags hiring Urban Meyer originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington

Chase Young’s former head coach Urban Meyer had nothing but great things to say about him when he was drafted by Washington, and now Young is returning the favor after Meyer was introduced as the new head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

When asked on The Team 980 Kevin Sheehan Show what kind of pro head coach Meyer will be, Young said he will be “a great one.”

“I thought about it the other day, I don’t know how he does it," he said. "It’s like everybody he’s coached is doing good at the next level, so I know in the league it’s not gonna change.”

As a head coach, Meyer has never had a losing season. He won three national championships and compiled a 187-32 college coaching record during his time at Bowling Green, Utah, Florida and Ohio State. Meyer will look to turn around a Jaguars team who is coming off their worst season in franchise history at 1-15.

Now we don’t want to get ahead of ourselves, but Washington is slated to host Jacksonville in 2022 and, man, would that be a fun sight to watch all the Buckeyes on this team face off against Urban Meyer himself.
