Chase Young honors Sean Taylor with taped helmet vs. Chiefs originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington
On the day that the Washington Football Team will retire the late Sean Taylor's number, pass rusher Chase Young had the perfect way of honoring the former safety.
When Young took the field on Sunday for pregame warmups, the second-year standout had his facemask covered in small pieces of white tape -- a look Taylor rocked regularly during his four years as a member of the Burgundy and Gold.

Young was not the only Washington player who altered his appearance to honor Taylor, as wide receiver DeAndre Carter arrived at FedEx Field wearing a white No. 21 jersey and gold pants.
Additionally, every Washington player is sporting a No. 21 sticker on their helmet for Sunday's game against Kansas City.
Prior to kickoff, the team will hold a pregame ceremony with Taylor's family on the field. The safety's iconic No. 21 will officially be retired during halftime, as Taylor will join Sammy Baugh (No. 33) and Bobby Mitchell (No. 49) as the only other numbers officially retired by the franchise.
