"Coach Osh" as he was commonly referred to, coached his son during his youth days and was always a key supporter of T.J. Oshie's remarkable hockey career. The two shared an amazing moment after the Caps won the 2018 Stanley Cup Finals, holding the Stanley Cup together and embracing in joyous tears.

It was after that triumph when T.J. revealed his father was dealing with Alzheimer's in one of the most memorable Stanley Cup postgame interviews and got emotional that he could share this special moment with the man who helped him find his passion for the game.
"My dad's here in the crowd, he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. He doesn't remember a lot of stuff, but you bet your ass he's gonna remember this one," T.J. Oshie said that night on the ice in Las Vegas.
The sticker on the helmet will serve as a reminder of who to play for on Wednesday night for not only T.J., but all his supportive teammates as well.
