Connor McMichael and girlfriend Lene adopt dog, Knight originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington
There's a new Capitals pup in town!
With Capitals prospect Connor McMichael getting more responsibility on the ice this season, he now appears ready to handle some extra responsibility off the ice too. McMichael and his girlfriend, Lene, announced they adopted a dog on Thursday ahead of Washington's 10th game of the season at the Florida Panthers.
Presumably named after McMichael's junior hockey team in the Orlando Hockey League, the London Knights, Knight has a remarkable resemblance to the team's official team pup, Biscuit.
McMichael picked up his first pro point in his fifth game as a Cap with an assist to T.J. Oshie against the Ottawa Senators. He then notched the primary assist for Oshie's hat trick that same night for his first multi-point performance.
Knight would have been so proud.
With the first post's location tagged near the Caps' practice facility, the MedStar IcePlex, it wouldn't be fur-fetched to see Knight and Biscuit become best friends fur-ever in the near future.
