The Wizards lost another game against the Pelicans to fall to a league-worst 3-11 record. Much like the other 10 losses before this one, it wasn't because of Bradley Beal.

Beal scored 47 points and dished out six assists in the loss, which was the 10th straight game 40-point game for Beal to end in a loss.

It's been a frustrating season for the players, coaches and their fans, and that group includes family members as well. Beal's wife, Kamiah tweeted her frustration shortly after the final buzzer sounded Wednesday night.

The Wizards trailed this game by as many as 26 points, and the only reason they were able to cut the lead to single digits was Beal. His 24-point third quarter energized his team and kept them in it, the deficit was simply too great to overcome.

Washington also had just two other players in double figures in the game (Robin Lopez, 14 and Garrison Mathews, 15) with several key players out due to the league's health and safety protocols. Russell Westbrook sat out the back-to-back as well as he recovers from a quad injury.

Expectations were high for the Wizards coming into this season. After two years of missing the playoffs, this team expected to get back there with Beal as the face of the franchise and Westbrook added to a core consisting of Davis Bertans, Thomas Bryant, Deni Avdija and Rui Hachimura. Injuries and a coronavirus outbreak have played a role in the Wizards' slow start, but those are problems the rest of the league is facing as well.

Washington will have a chance to get back on track Friday night against the Hawks.
