Bradley Beal Remembers How Kobe Bryant Would Hiss to Get the Ball

When you reach the level Kobe Bryant did toward the end of his basketball career, you get certain privileges few would be able to get away with.

One of which caught Bradley Beal's mind when he used to play against Bryant's Lakers and it had to do with the kind of power the five-time champion had over his teammates.

"He hissed, like an actual snake," Beal told reporters Wednesday. "Whenever he wanted the ball, he'd make a hissing sound and it threw me all the way off, like I didn't know that was a thing until somebody would literally wide open and passed up their shot to throw it to him. If that's all you gotta do to get the ball I might put that into my repertoire."

It's easy to sit back and question why Bryant would use such a unique method to demand the ball, even from teammates with open looks, but it's hard to imagine anyone refusing him.

When you win five titles, make 18 All-Star games,15 All-NBA teams and your nickname is related to a deadly snake, you're allowed to hiss at a teammate when you want the ball.
