The second round of the 2022 NHL Playoffs is now over.

Following the New York Rangers’ 6-2 win over the Carolina Hurricanes in Game 7, the conference finals field is now set.

In the second round, the Colorado Avalanche eliminated the St. Louis Blues 4-2 in the Western Conference. Colorado will now play the Edmonton Oilers after they eliminated the Calgary Flames in a gentleman’s sweep. 

In the Eastern Conference, the Tampa Bay Lightning swept the Florida Panthers despite being the lower seed, setting up a series against the Rangers to advance to the Stanley Cup Finals.

Disney (ESPN, ABC) and Turner Sports (TNT, TBS) have agreed to new deals with the NHL. Half of the games for the first three rounds were on TNT and the other half were either on ESPN or ABC.
