WASHINGTON -- The Washington Mystics selected guard Matee Ajavon with the second pick in the WNBA dispersal draft.
Monday's draft disseminated players from the Houston Comets, who disbanded last week because the league-owned team could not find new ownership.
Ajavon was selected fifth overall by the Comets out of Rutgers in this year's college draft. She averaged 8.0 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists as a rookie.
